I put a boat on the hard for 2 full years. On the 3rd year I put her in the water. I had 200 gallons in the tank of 3 year old gas. With a set of fresh batteries I was amazed that these engines fired up in about 5 seconds each. I have to attribute that to the stabil.

Cheap insurance. Good fuel treatment even if you keep riding. Won't gum up anything even if you over use it. Get the blue one for ethanol and moisture control. Do a google search for sta-bil if you want to read more.

Don't worry about stab-il just get a SANTA-TY claus you live in Charlotte the weather is perfect all year. As long as your ride it every 2-3 weeks for 20-40 miles you will be fine. I personally would put more miles on that. Hell it's December and were still in the mid-60's, but to each his own.

only if you do not plan on riding it for 30-45 days. Fuel degrades significantly after 30-45 days

Put Sta-Bil in if you're not going to ride it in 30 days, but make sure you keep the tank full, the less air the less problems !!

never use it. Don't see a need. I park my bike for a couple months at a time when I have to go away for work. Never a problem. I dont use it in the snow blower or lawnmower and they sit longer than my bike does. They also start right up

My gas is non-ethanol so I don't do anything with it. I doubt there will be any time frame more than a week or two where I can't get it out at least once to ride. So I just keep it full.

But I do plug in the battery tender nightly now due to the sub-freezing temps.

I put stabil in all my gas engines. My bike sits for almost 4 months out of the year. That sucks. I keep 2 gas cans full of stabil gas. I put it in the snow blower all winter and the mower at the end of the season. After my last ride, I fill the tank add stabil , run the bike, then top off tank with gas from the cans. I can done this for years. Works every time.
