No problems here on the forum. Bought and sold many times, all good. I've had mostly good luck on ebay and CL, as well. Most Harley owners seem to be stand-up guys.
I have sold a few things here in the past. All the buyers were trusting enough to send the payments as a gift (no fees)thru PayPal.
I have only bought 3 items from here.Recieved the first items as stated and just bought something last Sunday which I'm still waiting for.

So far so good on all 3 forums i frequent. Bought and sold on 2 of em and so far i bought a BL seat here and hopefully i see it sometime tommorrow!! IMO forums are the best resources for accessories cause in most cases riders can be trusted!!
Had good experience with what I bought. Was going to try to sell some stuff till I realized there was a 100 post min to post a classified ad, and I'm a loooonng way from there. Done alot of reading the last few years, but not much posting.
After my post yesterday about posting pictures of the items your selling and getting my butt handed to me from it seemed like everyone who said they would not buy without a picture, I checked the classified and found many threads that did not contain pictures but the items were sold. It just goes to show that some of us have more trust then others. Its all good though, that's what makes the world go round, different strokes for different folks, you get the picture......I think a rating system here would eliminate a lot of fear as far as buying and selling.....
Another thing you can do is search the classified section you're in for the sellers name of previous ads and see what they sold, contact the buyer and get feedback. It's your responsibility to CYA, it's not 100% fool proof but sometimes that extra bit can make the difference.
No issues here for me thus far, except on my last item up I was told a check was in the mail and more than a week later I haven't received anything, but no harm I guess as I don't ship until I have the funds unless I know the person VERY well........
