The fact that he cannot ride really has no affect on the price of selling a used motorcycle. Am I supposed to pay more because the owner can't ride it anymore? How much more? 10%? 20%???? More if he has a VA disability? My point was and still is that it is a used bike. When you sell a used bike you expect to get a lower price. I have an 07 FLHP that I ride. If/when I decide to sell, I sure don't expect to get what I paid for it. Those days are gone. Just like .29/gallon gasoline. The HD market is flooded with more bikes than people can afford. Or want. Good luck to the OP and I hope you get a sales price that makes you happy.

First of all, your arithmetic is off. After consignment fee, you would get $13,855. If I was you I would try to sell on Craigslist or HDForum for 15k. When I was shopping last year I only looked at dealers, but I would buy from a private party with the low miles and warranty you have.
Personally the 07 engine had a bad rep for 5th gear whine and hot engine. I have no idea if that is true, but I avoided them when looking. Good luck.
