For the life of me I can't tell the difference on my tby bikes and those that don't.
By the way tell your mechanic that the time to send and receive the signals is in nano seconds. That is beyond his ability to even time it with a stop watch.
I have TBW, with stage 1 using SERT and aftermarket cams. My bike was sluggish off the line. The service manager has been trying to talk me into installing this throttlepak. He said NO ONE that has done it has been unhappy. I resisited the 1st time he asked me about it but next time he said he would discount it and not charge any labor to install it just to get me to check it out. He said if i didnt like it he would give me a full refund.
I did it and have to say it is more snappy. I didnt think I had a lag but i do notice a difference especially at low RPM's.
I would recommend it for those who dont want to mess with their ECM mapping.
LOL Really? Ever turn on a light switch and see any delay in the light coming on??? If this was true, you'd feel it still accelerating when you let off the throttle too.
I think there is a tuning issue to your motor itself. I have no lag whatsoever on my bike. In fact, I have surprised myself more than once when twisting the throttle a little more than was necessary.
Gotta love the IOL(instant on lighting), it revolutionized the interior lighting market. My interior electric lights sucked and had that same delay these guys are talking about, then I got all new IOL fixtures, voila! For those that don't know, I'm kidding!!!!
Agreed. I recently test rode a 2012 model (I'll elaborate on
later)
But I did not like the throttle response. Or the feel.
It was brand new, so hard to tell 100 %, but
that stock 103 was a turd. I know with Stage 1
it would wake up, but tough to swallow. 26K OTD
and you have to dump another grand in it just so
it 1/2 way runs & doesn't sound like a sewing machine.
+1 on this big time.
I ride a 2008 110 SE Road King, stage 1,SE Race Tuner with a map purchased from Latus. My bike runs like a raped ape-perfect. 91hp/110tq. Before I bought this bike I rode a 2007 Dyna Low Rider with the stock 96 and two up, I'm average, 5'10" 175lbs and my very pretty wife is about 135lbs, the 96 was lacking in the hills especially. Hence my move to the 110 for two up touring with my wife. I love this bike and have it set up perfect. That came with a price I will not pay again. I can't justify dropping another 30 large and then even with the CVO line you have to put another grand to make it right. I love the moco for what it stands for and in no way does this mean anything bad but I will be looking outside the family for my next one. You can get a kawi vaquero for 16-17 and it comes setup ready to run out the door with the kind of numbers I'm getting on my stage 1 CVO.

I hear what you are saying, but as far as Vaquero you may be very disappointed. On paper it looks OK, but in real life the power is just not there. And handling is much inferior to Harley. Try it, you will see. Just my $0.02.
