Hey everyone, newbie here. I have a 2010 electra glide classic with a stage 2 motor. My issue is that when the bike is very hot and I go to start it, it sounds like a Massey Ferguson. Once it's running it's fine but sometimes it's scary. The dealer told me that when it's hot and a pressure release valve was not installed and it's high compression at start up, that this is normal and not to worry, but I'm not sure. Has anyone else had this issue? Thanks in advance
Rick

Uh, your dealer was right, it is normal, unfortunately. Not to worry tho, the banging you hear will go away and be replaced by a whirring noise followed by your bike not starting.
The clutch will be covered under the warranty but the dealer will try to push it out. More than likely your issue will get progressively worse. Mine did not leave me hanging anywhere but the final straw was when I was getting ready to start a person in a car next to me said NICE BIKE and after thanking him I pushed the button and got the Massey Ferguson sound you refer to and had to wonder if the guy was still thinking nice bike so I changed the clutch. Call around to other dealers in your area, if one of them is a little hugary they will be glad to fix it as it is warranty and paid back by the factory. If you have to ride an hour or two what better excuse for a ride.
