You really think a day glo vest is gonna help some stupid texting biotch or senile old Q-tip see you better? All it'll make you do is look like a nerd on the stretcher.

Well, maybe. But, nerd? I could care less what you think of me. I'm not trying to impress anyone like I use to, wearing all black with my baseball cap turned around backwards. I've been wearing a helmet for the past 5 years and a good thing. I totaled my 99 EG this past September. The helmet saved me.

I just want to enjoy the ride. So if you see an old dude riding down the road on a 2010 blue Ultra wearing bright orange don't be embarrassed to wave at me.

It has a time & place where Hi-Vis is a need, but I have not noticed a change with or without it. I just think everyone is out to get me!!! You cant even see my Hi-Vis from the back because of the lighted tour pak & the spot lights I would think add to being seen but Its a ultra & dont you know 900 pound motorcycles just pop out of thin air.

I don't care what anyone wears anymore, I wear a helmet all the time even though it's not required in my state, just too many idiots out there! As hivis clothing, I don't know...I mean I'm coming down the road, headlight on, spot lights on and still they don't see me or care, don't think hi vis clothing would help, maybe from behind or in bad weather...

We all have to ride like they are all out to run us over, cage drivers just don't think about us or don't care....between texting, adjusting radio, mirror, putting on makeup, reading, eating....we don't stand a chance....

Be safe all

Only in the rain or when it is very cold and I am not dressed for it so I need my rain suit to block the wind.

My wife recently purchased the HD orange/black reverseable jacket for me as a birthday present and I wear it to work since I ride on a military base. I was surprised as to how warm it is. Very comfortable in this chilly Alabama weather now and seems to be a bit waterproof also....
