I bought a set if carlini bars last tuesday from phat perf they were drop shipped from carlini on fri have not receuved yet should get them in the nexg couple of days
I had issues on my Deluxe with their $200 risers. As soon as they were HAND tightened, the chrome cracked and flaked right off.....then it marred the bars. This happened 2 times....I had to switch risers to fix the issue. It seemed that the were made of really soft aluminum....not billet. They look great, but I don't think I'd ever deal with them again.....not that they didn't try to fix the issues by sending me new stuff, but it just seemed odd to me that you couldn't tighten risers on 14" ape hangers with out chrome flaking....on 2 sets of risers.

You popped the chrome twice? Did you ever think that you might have over tightened the bolts holding the upper and lower riser? The fact that it happened twice to you suggests that you may have over-tightened the bolts. Just a thought.
You asked Carlini about a Screamin Eagle part? Isn't that a question for Harley since they made the heated grips? I'm sure the instructions for the grips will let you know what is required. Anyway, I know the answer. Inside of the grip sections need to be drilled out to accomodate them. Carlini uses 1/8" thick tubing (which is actually bitch'in because they dont't break like Wild 1 bars, they use 1/16" wall).
