Love the V&H 2-1 ProPipe on mine, PM cleaner and PCV. Of course the Woods cams REALLY liven it up as well lol...

You have plenty of time to modify. I suggest you ride your bike for at least 5000 miles before you start with any mods. Now that's just my recommendation, but as you will see, it's easy to get sucked-in to "hurry up and do some mods on that bike" herd mentality.

Use Google or some other search engine and look up forum-specific threads by typing in something like this: hdforums.com pipes or hdforums.com exhaust or hdforums.com "air cleaner", well you get the idea. If you enclose the search phrase in quotes, the search will look for and return posts with that specific string. That helps to keep from getting so many off-topic results.

When you do get ready, give our forum sponsor Fuel Moto a call and discuss your plans with those guys. They will be able to help you with air cleaners, fuel management, headers, pipes, cams, etc. Just about anything you need they can provide. Truth is, there are lots of good vendors out there with a sea of aftermarket pipes, headers, cams, heads, internals, etc.

Enjoy your new bike.

Congrats on the new ride, I got my 2012 SG in Denim Black for 19,4 a few days ago, thought i done ok myself. I put on some Vance and Hines slash oval slip ons. They sound ok but I will probably add some pipes later. I thought I will ride it a few times and add what I thought is needed.

Welcome from Kentucky...smooking sweet deal..I just bought a 2012 SG, Big Blue Pearl and didn't get that good of a deal, but I traded and made out ok on the backend.

As for mods, take your time, research and listen to other exhaust at bike nights or in front of the dealerships...

For me, and I'm not suggesting you do the same, just food for thought.
First, I have a set of SE mufflers in the garage, so I'll go with them.
Second, FullSac header pipe, FuelMoto makes a good pipe, but they have both sets of 02 sensors and I don't want to see the plugged set, not used, just me.
Third, TTS tuner
Forth, Arlan Ness Big Sucker air cleaner

That's it for me, not into the motor, no cams etc....

The rest of the mods will be passing lamps, chopped box, solo seat, lowers etc....and chrome and more chrome....
