I have a 2011 Street Glide 96 CI. Ive put an Arlen Ness Big Sucker, Cobra FI 2000 Power Pro Auto Tuner, Cobra Powersport Dual Head Pipes and Rush slip on exhaust. I want to put on the CFR Slip Ons but have read they are hard to tune. I also read that maybe they have fixed this problem with a newer version of the slip on. Suggestions?
I bought mine last year for my 09 FLHX. I have a PCV and just downloaded the map from the website. I have had no problems. Bike runs great. Only other mod to mine was a SE air cleaner.

What webiste? Dyno jet has one for CFR's? Hmmmm, really?
CFR's had tuning issues on the older design and only then, it was with built-up engines. Stock 96's where no issue with either the old style CFR or new style.
The sound is second to none. Hands down the best as long as you don't mind loud.
Forgive me if I am wrong, but like yourself I have the Cobra auto tuner, shouldn't this unit tune and adjust if you change your slip-ons. I have the same tuner on my 2011 FB lo and I tried it with the arlen ness big sucker and without it(had no choice, like many I broke the back plate on the ness and had to wait to get a replacement sent to me). Bike adjusted to the less air flow and back to it when I got the backplate installed. Just wondering is all, Thanks
I have run CFR with no problems. Love the sound and look of the pipe. I had them on my 07 with a 103 motor they worked very well. I have the new ones on my 11 with the 103. sounds great! I talked with Fuel moto and they gave me a couple of tunes for the PCV really no issues on that side. They can be loud if you are leaving for work at 5am.
Also a good alternative exhaust is the Rush Big Louie. It has a deep sound but is less expensive.

I just put some CFRs on my RKC. I love 'em! They sound like nothing else out there. I don't think they're too loud, either. I can still hear my stereo at 75. I had the same questions you have. Call and talk to Cary. They're super nice people and he'll tell you everything you want to know about his pipes, other pipes, tuning, and any problems that people may have had with them. I was also a little apprehensive about buying a pair of $600 slip-ons after reading some of the problems people said they had with them. He'll give you the facts w/o trying to sell you anything. And you'll love 'em when you get 'em.
