My Battery Tender keeps my Bike Battery fully charged and it also Desulfates the Battery. That's the white flaky junk that builds up inside a battery. It has a built in computer that monitors your Battery and does it Automatically. Just Plug it in and you are done! $40.00. I use mine nightly.

With it being that new of a bike it might already have the plug. My 2011 dyna had one already installed (bought new) I don't know if it came from the factory or the dealer put it on.

Adding that seems to be dealer choice. My 2011 Street Glide didn't have it; it wasn't something the dealer routinely installs. However, on my '09 Night Train, that dealership installed the pigtail lead on every bike they sell, so it was there.

The piece is like $8; not much of an investment, and it sure is easier than removing the seat and trying to clip battery cables on the battery (which is under the tray with the computer on the 'Glide) whenever the bike will be idle for a while (and winter is here in NY, plus I go TDY often).

If it's on there, the dealer installed it.

Talked to the guys where I bought my bike, they said they install it on all the bikes they have so that they can just plug them in at night and not have to worry about whether the battery will be charged if someone wants the bike.

I got one from Walmart for 20 bucks. It comes with a plug assy to connect it to the battery, then a quick connect to the charger. Automatic and maintains the charge.

Didn't say if you already bought the charger/tender; most do come with quick connect cords. I have a couple Schumacher 1.5 amps I got on Amazon, both with a quick connect for both connecting on the bike or regular alligator clamps (in photos). Seem to do their job ok, but don't expect any kind of quick charge from something this small. It's cold where I am, so I pull unused batteries and bring them in the house in winter (5 in the basement right now) but still use the tenders on them. These small batteries seem to go bad quickly when they sit uncharged for months. The "Battery Tender" brand seems most common in stores, got these for good user ratings plus a little cheaper.

Here is what you need. Has the round terminals that mount to the battery bolts in addition to the alligator clips (not used). I have this exact unit on my bike and works great. I installed it after I ran my battery down from playing the stereo in the garage too much.

Anybody know where I can get just the pigtail. I have the battery tender from my previous bike, but I forgot to get the pigtail off the bike. I know the dealers have them, but thought they might be available cheaper somewhere else.
