How are those Burly Slammer shocks working out? I put some of those lowering kits from eb on the wife's 09 SG and she can now touch flat foot the bike with 2" selected, but there is some strange noise coming from the rear like rubbing(didn't find anything though) and the bags are tight getting on. Now after reading this forums apparently not safe. Might have to go with those Burly Slammer shocks.

I tried a different approach. I bought some 13" take offs off eBay and sent them to Bitchin. They shortened them an inch. I've got a few hundred miles on them now, and I can't tell any difference in the ride quality. Rides the same even two up. The shortening service is $175, and I paid $20 for the take offs. IMO, the spring rates on a 12" is different than the 13" shocks, and the 13" aren't as stiff and ride better.
