Default New product question..

Ok I would like some input if you have a minute on some products we have been kicking around..
Winter time is here and guy,s are looking for ways to mount their heated gear controllers,I came up with the one in the photo below that works well if you have an older bike that has the console washer..Well the newer bikes do not, so we were thinking about attaching it with some Neodymium magnets which are very strong and about the size of a quarter to the gas tank or where ever you like that has a flat piece of steel to hold a magnet.. This would be in cased in smooth leather so as not to scratch your bike.
We could also make panels like this to hold garage door openers, cell phone cases, cigarette cases,ipod,mp3 cases etc..

Also is there a need for a small leather holder say with a snap on it to put a key in to that you could hide under your gas tank to hide a spare key ?

Looking for some feed back as I have been playing with these magnets and I think they will work fine..

I see where you are going...

I have magnets under my gas cap lid- and can lay anything ferrous on top of the lid and it'll stay there.

spare key?
the newer bikes have security systems and I have a fob zip tied to my riding boot so i always remember it, spare key zip tied there to ( logger style boots, zip ties to the top lace eyelets)

I've also concealed keys inside the fairing lower.

So there is kind of a demand for the products you propose- but I don't know if there is a market

Best, Mike

I think that a garage door opener holder would be very handy. Maybe it could have a soft front so you could push the button without having to open the pouch? Cell phone case, MP3 or iPod, all sound like a good idea. How about sunglasses? Happy New Year!!!

I have a piece of stick on velcro attached to the panel on my FL and to the leather filler panel on my FX works just fine and if I want to take it off in the summer a blowdryer or a heat gun is all I need. Your idea is fine but stick on velcro is cheap and works.

yeah, i think i would rather go with the magnets myself. stick on velcro may work, and it may even come off good, but i just have an aversion to sticking something on my paint....

I have been trying to come up with a better place for my controller than hooking on my jacket pocket. This has possibilities Larry.

I think your idea has plenty of possibilities and applications that will work well and give you new business opportunities.

Clean attachment devices are always welcome.
