I know my bike is fairly heavy but at what point would you think winds might actually blow it over.
Have you thought about staking it down? ;>P

I couldnt help myself, I just figured at our age we knew not to touch a hot burner and how to avoid it. I guess it's not addressed in the owners manual.

Instead of parking with the bike sideways to the wind, wouldn't it be better to face the bike into it?

I know to park it with the wind blowing toward the stand, but I was just wondering if these winds in the 60 MPH range has a chance of blowing it over even when parked like this. I have seen and heard about smaller bikes being blown over, and i dont want that happening to me.

with these winds I dont have a problem riding around town while its blowing like this, but I dont the wind blowing my bike all over town while Im at work or in the store.

What about a center stand? Also park next to a building, between two cars, or somewhere the bike isn't out in the open.

If winds were going to be an issue, I would not install a bike cover on it. That would act like a parachute and help it go over. Could also lose a cover. One day saw a dust devil pass over some bikes near Sedona AZ, and saw a bike cover sailing through the air a couple hundred feet up.
