So I'm a new Ultra owner, and the flap that covers the intercom port(driver's) just feels like it could break off if I open it all the way down. I don't have headsets yet, but was kind of looking at everything the other day. My brother-in-law has an '07 Ultra, and it seems like I remember him replacing his before. It just feels like the bottom hinged part is making contact with the console. Am I worrying over nothing, or do I need to have this looked at?
What year is your bike? We need more details to be able to provide an intelligent response. Also, what color?
Intelligent responses? ..... I thought that was the only type of responses found on this site ... and ... as far as color .... everyone knows that black is "The Only Color" .
If his bike is in his signature, I can't see it cuz I'm using the mobile version on my phone. If the bike is a black '10, then not to worry, its normal.
Yes, I do indeed have a Black 2010 Ultra. On closer inspection, the little spring mechanism that holds the flap shut is what's not right. The flap just kind of "flops". Not worried about it dragging on the console, that wouldn't hurt much, but it's just not shutting tight. If I reach back and open the one for the passenger, it has a nice spring-back to it. I think I need to fiddle with the tiny retention spring or replace the flap.
