Cant remember if the running lights are a closed bulb or has a clear glass lens.
Was off yesterday, detailed the Limited and noticed before i ran off to fill it up with fuel the running lights were fogged.. Headlight is clear and clean.
No moisture just the funk inside the lens.
Any thoughts. too lazy to look for my shop manual right now...
Mine did the same thing. They are not sealed and the bulbs are replaceable. I removed mine, removed the bulbs and poured in a small amount of distilled vinegar. I sloshed it around inside for about 5 minutes and then rinsed them really well first with tap water then with distilled water. My reason for the distilled water is I was worried about hard water spots.
After dumping the water out I used pressurized air from my air compressor to blow out any remaining water. It worked for me and they are still clear with no water spots.
Remove the light assembly, remove the lamp, squirt some Windex inside the assembly, swish it around, rinse it out thoroughly with warm tap water, and blow them out with compressed air to dry them. Like new !
Total time = 10 minutes.
Removed light housing, rinse the inside with soap and water sloshing around abit, dump, rinse with water slosh around, then rinse with alcohol, and fine tune drying with q-tips. Let dry overnight and re-install.
