i would do the high/low kit myself but you dont need it.
i run the high/low in my truck & would do it again if need be. besides its not that much more to go with the high/low.
Sooooo I should or shouldn't get the low only kit vs. the High / Low...
I have a 35w kit in my quad (2 bulbs) and I dont even think of needing a high beam anymore. I'm fine with just the one. I assume, it'd be the same on the Harley, but what happens when you turn the switch to high?

Go to Home Depot and find a remote that will pair with your GD. Unless you have one to spare. Many are powered by a 12 volt battery. Open it up and find the switch contacts. Solder them together. Pull the battery out and wire it + to your high beam wire under the fairing, - to ground. Find a good spot to tywrap the remote under the fairing. If yours isn't powered by 12volts you need a small relay to operate the switch. Do a search. I know its in there somewhere...
I'll definitely have to go up and check them out. I didn't think they were 12v though.

the only reason i went with the high/low is when on coming traffic flashes you (witch i did readjust mine) you have that option to show them that your low is on.
now for the high beam what it does it moves the bulb in the housing of the socket. cant remember if it pulls it in or pushes it out. its kinda strange but it works.
sure as you know you dont need high beam the HID at 35w is plenty.
what are you going to run again 5K or 6K? my bike is 6K 35w & i like it but a lot of my buddies say it has a pretty good blue tint.

Most highend luxury cars are 4300k. My quad is 4300K. I've always thought of that as closest to natural sunlight. So i'll probably go with 4300k in my glide. Here are some pics of my quad though (since this is all I have to relate to.
4300 are good. my buddy is getting 43k for his glide & his wifes queen (road king) from DDM.
is that an independent rear suspension outlaw?
i got a couple quads to but we only run in the dunes.

That's Honda's new (in 2008) 700xx... it's like an IRS Yamaha Raptor, but better cause it's made by Honda lol. Except for mud, there's no where i haven't been that a 4wd has. With the upgraded tires and everything, I have AWESOME ground clearance (same as a grizzly). I've got a video of me doing 74mph on the street passing one of those speed signs that shows you how fast you're going... in 4th gear. lol They say out in cali in the desert, they're running around 92mph topped out. Won Baja 1000 and 500. Don't get me started on the quad... i'll just keep talking. lol
If that thing's that fast your better off with the HIDs...So you don't out run your lights!
lol no kidding! Next time we go for a night ride, i'll take my GoPro and make a HID video of flying through the trees. You'd be surprised how fast things pass by. http://youtu.be/X8E1nMPn8Hs
