Both of my cars have factory installed HID's. Best thing going, but I think LED is going to be the future though.
ya your probably right....been looking at changing over all the exterior lights on my superduty but its about $400. also want to change the marker & turn/tail lights on my SG heard the HARLEY replacement LEDs for our bike are a plug & play but on the pricey side.
but that would mean cutting & splicing.....
the harley ones are supposed to be just plug in & really bright. although i havent seen them in person.
i just have a hard time cutting into wires when they offer direct replacements.
i know its a bit more money though.
negative, plug n play. I would never cut my harness. I forgot the brand but HD sells them. The only issue was to get the right one that works with the factory alarm system. I ve had it 3 years now and no issues.
A WEEK!!????? as **** as i am about my stuff & when i work on the bike it only took me less than an hour to do mine......i have faith you can do it.
hell the hardest part to the whole thing is getting the light of & back on the fairing.

lol i thought i might catch some flak over that. Currently, I have my quad torn apart for a cam change and CV axle change, so it's consuming a little bit of space.
Remember I said I bought my buddy one too? He's going to come over and we're going to do them at the same time. Which also means I need more room lol
awhhh i was just giving you some POOP
its always better when your doing mods on your bikes together...well it seems you have more fun & usually alcohol some how gets involved & makes it that much better.
good luck with all your project installs.
