Been using Hogg Chopps for about 2 1/2 years now. Buffeting cut way down. And looking at the design, they seems to direct more air to the cylinders when moving. Back then they offered painted ones (they send them out to be painted), matching was dead on. Same as lionsm13, no cons.
I asked about speaker enclosures and was told they do not offer them. Would love to add speakers in the lowers. The ones in the pics must be a customer fit ones. Any ideas?
If i remember right a few years ago their website said stock glove boxes would work. that was back when they offered the matching paint. Maybe they cheapened them up a bit. If i get ahold of a set im gonna make a wooden mock up and lay some glass down. Ill just get ahold of a set of stock glove box doors.
I love my Hogg Chopps. The only complaint I have about them is that I ride a bit aggressively through the twistys and have touched the lower outer corner to the road which has caused a little damage. With this being said, I have also ground down the forward floorboard support too, so its not a flaw with the design.
Bought amabeetles used set of Hogg Chopps off him. I really like the looks of em. Gonna mount em up this weekend and start working on some speaker pods and glove boxes for them. At quick glance it would appear that the speaker pod would be more functional that a glove box cause the crash bar is in the way so there wont be much storage room. Depending on how well it all works out with laying the fiberglass...if it isnt too time consuming I might consider making a few sets.

I have had my HoggChops for probably 5 years now. I love them from a functionality stand point as they deliver as advertised, however I actually prefer the look of the HD lowers (just not the price). At one point they were offering a glovebox that would work with these lowers but the demand was not there so they discontinued the option. Factory glove boxes will not work with HoggChops. You'll have to make them yourself if you want glove boxes. If somebody makes them I'd be interested in buying a set. I too would like to add speaker pods.
Put my new/used Hogg Chopps on today and since it was a nice sunny 50 degree day in Nebraska I took it out for a spin. Gotta say they work. Bike seems to handle totally different without the chrome fork mounted deflectors. Lots less buffeting. Legs didnt get that cold. Im not sold on the look so far cause the sit higher and more infront of the crash bar but maybe it will grow on me once they are painted. The clamps dont get it all the way tight. Gotta find some "dipping" rubber for tool handles and give em a few more coats. seems to me there should be one more clamp on the outboard side of the fairings. I know the wind is pushing back on em but I can grab it and move it....bugs me.
Also put an extended brake pedal on........NICE i shoulda done that 8 years ago.
