I only got 5K out of my Michelin Commander rear tire. I just received the Commander II that I ordered from Dennis Kirk yesterday, hoping to get it mounted today. Hoping for better results than the original.

Also, the original Commander was an MT90 16. I ordered the new one which is a 140 90. After I ordered (typical for me) I was looking and noticed that my current tire is very close to the belt guard. I hope the wider tire is not going to cause an issue. I guess I will be finding out soon enough. Bike is a '99 Electra Glide.

Only have a few hundred miles on mine so far, but they seem to handle curves well, and rain grooves hasn't affected them at all. I reckon next test will be wet roads and just how long they do last. If I can get 10-11K I'll be impressed...

Installing the Commander II front tire tomorrow - my dunlop rear tire has a lot of good tread on it but I anticipate changing it over the summer.

Commander II is now on. Rides nice, not too much to tell yet. went over 2 steel deck bridges and much less of the wandering feeling. Still have the Commander I on the front though. So now we will see how they wear...

Hey HD Bro's,

Just clicked to 5400 miles on the stock Dunlop 402 MU85B16 (77H). I may have another 500 or so safe miles left on it. Front stock 402 still looks good.

So what MCII size do I order? And from where for best price?

Y'all still digging this tire over the DUNLOP EIII?

Thanks for the help!!!

Can anyone tell my what size Commander 2's I'd need to run front and back on a 2007 Street Glide? It says MU85-16 rear, and MT90-16 front but none of the sites show it like that... First time ordering online.

I have the Commander ll's on my 01 Ultra and have just over 10,000 miles on them. They show very little wear. A local shop replaced one on the rear of an ultra because of a nail. He had 19,000 and the mechanic said he could have gone another 2,000- 3,0000 if not for the nail.
