Those that are saying the clutch cable is easy, I am wondering if they have changed a clutch cable on a bagger before. Because it is a bitch. If you have the 08 or older bike with the stock exhaust, get ready for some real work getting the exhaust apart to get the right side transmission cover off. Also you will have to pull the fairing front off, if you have a fairing-ed bike, which isn't too hard unless you have not done it before. It isn't impossible to do but if you have little or no mechanical experience, it can be a real challenge.

+1, 08 stock headers are a pain in the ***! The manual says to "remove right side exhaust" which wouldn't be bad If I didn't have to remove the left side to do that. LOL Other than that, the clutch cable is easy.

thanks all for your input. my thing is to have to pay labor to have it done.HD shops get $85/hr. don't mine trying it just didn't want to get it apart and end up in a mess. look forward to doing it myself just to get to know the bike. thanks again
i have a manual coming so i'll see how it looks and go from there.
