Default variable pressure clutch

I have been thinking about getting a variable pressure clutch on the bike. Any pros or cons about doing this? Can you recommend a good company?
Did a motor upgrade, no matter what I do it seems like the clutch slips when you crank it on from about 3k rpm in six'th gear. It don't do it all the time tho. Some times when cold or after bike is warm.? ? ? ?

All ideas are welcome.
Thanks

the stock clutch is easily upgraded for higher pressure with springs, worn discs and steels may need to be replaced.
( more spring pressure means more left hand pull)

if you need to replace, barnett is the first name in clutches, so start there.

standard clutch adjustment is done with the bike cold and is calculated to be effective hot/cold--- as all the tolerances in the clutch basket change with temperature. It's possible that yours is slipping due to wear or needs finer adjustment within the range.

dry clutches are even harder to adjust hot/cold, but at least you can ride with the cover off and a wrench in your pocket to fine tune it when adjusting.

Here's the link AIM where I purchased mine:

These VPC's help in engines that are putting out high torque as well as with blowers.

I am running the AIM unit........very mild build...........98/93, but I did not want to increase the clutch pull, being my grip it not what it was 50 years ago. I can sit at a stop light forever with the lever pulled in and slip it taking off in 2nd gear very nicely.........(testing it when it was first installed). Have over 15k on it now and it still works better that the stock set up.

when I went to the 103 my number were 111.18 and 116.94tq. my clutch was slipping in 4, 5, & 6 at higher RPM's. I did not want a harder clutch lever pull so I went with the AIM variable pressure clutch. It was an easy install and solved my slippage problem. I would not hesitate putting one on.

There are many instances on higher torque builds where the clutch slips and its only noticable on a Dyno graph.

Vpc's work well. Only problem is they don't work until 3500 rpm+. They do have a reduced pull at lower rpm's. Combine it with a good spring and the slip should be gone, and still maintain "stock" type pull at lower rpm's.
