Default exhaust adapter ?

Does anyone know where I can get an adapter to get my stock head pipes to fit 2" diameter slip ons?

My first thought would be to do it right and just replace your stock head pipes with 2" Rinehart ones. If you don't then you will not get the full benefit and then seems pointless IMHO.

I think your outta luck. Buy a short piece of 1 3/4 stainless pipe, swedge one end to fit over the head pipe and the other to fit inside the slip ons. Its gonna have to be pretty short or else you'll have to shorten the head pipe. Dont worry about it not bein chrome, the heat shield should cover it.

How can you recommend a set of 2" headpipes without knowing the OPs displacement?

I have Rineharts on my 88. What does displacement have to do with it?

Rinehart's what? They make a lot of stuff, from slip ons to complete systems, 2:1 and 2:2. Primary tube diameter selection is based on displacement, has everything to do with it.

Rinehart headpipes as a previous post suggested he use. Mine happen to be in the 2into2 configuration aka True Duals.

Awesome, there are about 16 results for true duals on the Rinehart page, none of them say anything about primary size. Anyway, too large of a primary is counterproductive, it will hurt performance. Sorry to muddy the waters, the auto parts store is good recomendation for an adapter, but better yet would be to just get a muffler that fits.
