True. He probably is gettin a deal on the mufflers and tryin to save a buck. I can relate. All the Rinehart headpipes I've owned start at 1.75" at the head and end up 2" at the muffler inlet. I wonder if the i.d. of a 2"pipe is the same as the o.d. of a 1.75"? In the muffler pipe world.

Why modify it just buy the right header pipes for the mufflers!

Generally steel or aluminized exhaust tubing has about a 1/16th wall, so a 2" OD tube would have about a 1 7/8 ID. Stainless exhaust tubing has a much thinner wall. The stepped head pipe design is not for me but that's another discussion.
