Got a quick question for someone/anyone. Purchased a 2012 SG with the Rhinehart true duel exhaust setup. I was looking forward to swapping the RH for the CFR slip ons. The bike is at the dealer and there telling me there the wrong size and i would need to put on the stock header pipes? I did test the fit and seemed the CFR's actually went over the pipes of the Rhineharts......is there any options to do other than going to stock which i would not do........any insite would be great!
CFR's need 1 3/4" head pipes and I believe Rineharts are stepped to 2" where the slip on's go on. V&H Dresser Duals work as do the Power Duals. The first customer I sold these pipes to had this problem with Rineharts. He measured their diameter at the head which was 1 3/4" and once he went to put the mufflers on realized it was a stepped pipe.

Oh my lord........well that totally sucks! I should not have assumed they would fit and now its bitten me in the ***........ugh...
Thanks Hogpro for your knowledge on this.....great help! Decisions now.......ahh well
you can buy a stock head pipe for around 100.00 or you can sell the complete system you have and recoup some money and buy power duals or some other header system for 450-650 range depending on where you buy it. I found that www.kutterharleyonline.com has the best prices, free shipping and no tax if your not in there state.
I think what Orange& Black was saying is that if you still have the stock pipe you can take the cat out of it and use that as opposed to buying new headers. A bit of a money saver.
A guy just left out shop with a 14 that had CFR's and stock head pipes with the cat. I started my bike (13 cobra headers no cat) and it was much louder and deeper sounding than his.
Ohhhhh sorry about that.......yes that could be an option. I was thinking probably take my time and grab another header the the VH or something...do it right........
Had my hopes to be running the CFR's on my first ride on the scoot.........
Thanks everyone....loads of knowledge as always and thank you all!!!
The V&H power duals are probably your best play to get the CFR's on the bike. The V&H power duals have heat shields with them, which I assume you'll need. They also perform very well as s 2-1-2 system which you may want as those CFRs can hurt low end torque and have been rumoured to be hard to tune (but they look and sound sooo cool).
To confirm, Rinehart true dual systems are stepped system with 2" muffler inlets. FYI - Rinehart slip ons are 1 3/4".
