Just installed a pair of T-5 heated gloves last night. Got out for a quick 40 min scoot around the town and gotta say I LOVE EM!! I previously had battery operated Harley gloves which worked great but always died on long rides. Got to say though very happy with the new Gerbing's! and I definitely recommend!
I've had the heated Gear from Gerbings for a while now. I have the insoles, pants, jacket liner, and gloves. They all work great, ride in 30 degree weather. The only problem I had was that with the jacket liner, you have to wear something over it. Way too bulky for me. Ended up getting the jacket and giving the liner away to a friend. The gloves work great but what I ended up doing was heated grips and riding with fingerless gloves. Also helps when I want a cig while riding, hard to grab and light with gloves on. Just my thoughts, great gear overall.
They have the new microwire now. Ultra thin wires that heat up instantly. I have the older ones but am very happy with them (gloves and jacket liner) With a dual temp. controller you have the ability to have variable temp. settings for each item.
I love the jacket liner. I leave my house with two slices of bread and a piece of cheese in my pocket and qhen I stop for lunch I have a grilled cheese sandwich...
I've actually been debating the Jacket Liner for a while now. After how impressed with the gloves I am I just might have to.
Imagine rollin along on a 30* day and reaching down to turn your jacket liner down cuz its too warm. Get the dual controllers.
One thin long sleeve underneath is all you need. My leather (Large) jacket has its own liner and I can use both liners at the same time. The Heated liner is a medium so there isn't any bunching up. The HD liner is sharp enough to wear on its own like a windbreaker once you get somewhere and want to take off the heavy leather. Wires tuck in the little outside sleeve pocket and zip up nice. My riding season has...I should say IS still on !!

Heated gear rocks! I have Gerbings, but I'm sure any quality heated gear will be great. I started out with the liners, pants and jacket, gloves....they worked great, but I didn't like having to go inside to put on the pant liner ( have to remove jeans) ...I've now moved to the Gerbings Union Ridge outer jacket and pants, not quite as warm as the liners but warm non the less....love the heat!
Dual controllers are a must.
