Default Highway peg mod

Here's the problem. When touring I Get a lot a lot of fatigue from trying to keep my feet in on the bike either on the floor boards, on the highway pegs, or a combination of both. What happens is on the highway the front of my feet feel like they are being forced outward and off the pegs/board. Is anyone aware of a mod and and other highway pegs that have a small piece on the outside that sticks up perpendicular to the peg that would allow the outside of the front of my feet to stop sliding outward. If that makes any sense to anyone.

Yeah get a set of off set mounts for your pegs. That way you can have them slight in. As for the floor boards Harley goodies extended floor boards out 3/4 inch. You will sit more flat foot than wraping you legs in

I forgot to mention I do have the Harley goodies extension. Those are awesome by the way. Great product great company and amazing customer service. The problem I'm having is the front of my foot still, from the wind, feels like It want to blow off the boards, pegs. It's tolerable for a short ride but after a week on the road it really starts to make everything in my legs sore holding my feet in.

Tip your pegs in a smidge. Personally I cant imagine having this problem, I sometimes just throw my leg over my highway pegs so my ankle is resting on thepegs and my boot sole is flat into the wind..Never have an issue!

AsfarasIknow, nobody makes anything like that. Just angle your pegs in a bit or get grippier pegs.
Or some Texas $ 225.00 snakeskin boots with the pointed toe.....lol.

it may be a matter of riding position.

I take a pretty upright position on my touring bikes, with my feet on the boards, taking a fair amount of my upper body weight- transfering down my abs.

That's the only way i can do day after day 10 or 12 hours riding.

A real cure may require a rethink of the seat and bar choice.

Highway pegs increase wind load on my chest ( therefore arms), and the slouched back puts all my weight on my rear- just not the recipe for distance.-

I move my feets around lots, sometimes on the pass boards. and cruise control allows better stretching while riding ( I used to ride right hand on grip and left arm free much of the time, which cricked my shoulders, with CC I can even it out)

Mike

Not only will your feet not slide when using any of the trap or traction pin pegs, they are MUCH more comfortable because of the larger base for your foot, the ability to adjust laterally, and the ability to shift the angle of the peg while riding.

on my road king i had this problem. i took some 3/4'' grip tape strips and adhered them to the rubber on the floorboards, between the chrome strips (slipstrean floorboards). worked great, not really obnoxious looking, and only ran a couple of bucks.

What kind of mounts do you have for your pegs?? Get the 360 adjustable ones.
