I would like to put a solo seat on my 06 SG but I have a HD adjustable back rest. What seats would you guy recommend? If any one has one for sale please pm me.
You are going to have a hard time finding a SOLO seat compatible with the HD backrest system. Yes, Mustang are compatible with TWO-UP seats as they have the same "slit" for the backrest to go through, but just about every SOLO I've seen has the backrest built into the seat (and I've owned a Mustang SOLO before).
My new "solo" is a C&C Fastback (w/backrest).....couldn't be happier and I like the way it blends into the lines of the bike. Ordered a C&C Sport Tour for when the fiance wants to ride with. For me, it was the best of both worlds.
I wouldn't give up my Mustang Vintage Solo for a million bucks...and I think they make a version that has a backrest.
But no, I don't think it's compatible with the HD backrest. Like has been said, mostly likely going to have to get new one for whatever solo seat you end up getting.
