I made a purchase (albeit small) from DragonFly and prior to my order arrival I called their customer service number to get a UPS tracking number.

The treatment I recieved from the young lady who answered the phone only accomplished one thing.

I will never speand another nickle there.

P.S. I was happy with the actual item I purchased.

Most reputable companies will work with you, if they want to stay in business. Maybe you didn’t talk to the right folks there, just saying… I would call back and ask for a supervisor, don’t just give up.

Great! Just when I thought I had my decision finalized on the Dragonfly Fairing, I hear all this! Have to now re-evaluate my choices. In any case, I thank all those who shared their experiences.

Just goes to show that poor customer service spreads to, an average of, 7 people whereas great customer service spreads to, again an average of, 3 people. Just a stat I heard somewhere. Not good.

I just received a new Deadcenter fairing and I am very happy with it.
One of the reasons I chose it over the Dragonfly was because after researching it I found a lot of negatives about Dragonfly and nothing but positive about Deadcenter.
Here is another satisfied Deadcenter customer. The customer service from Willem was great, I emailed and phoned multiple times to make sure I ordered the right thing and questions about shipping. After it was delivered I had a few more questions which were also promptly answered.
Great company and service.

I have had the good fortune of dealing with Dead Center Cycles for my fairing and they offered me the greatest quality fairing and "Customer Service".

I most highly recommend them. And no I am in no way affiliated with them nor do I work for them. I am a totally satisfied customer and its my pleasure to speak highly of them to anyone.

As of Dragonfly, I ordered speaker pods, and four speakers from them for my King Tourpac and the DCC fairing. What a nightmare that was back in 2006.

It took Dragonfly almost almost a complete "Month" to get them shipped out, not including actual time of shipping which was 6 days.

In all fairness to Dragonfly, when the pods and speakers arrived were all fine and have not had any issues with them to date.

In any dealings with anyone, I most strongly recommend asking the following:

1. Are your parts in stock?
2. Do you ship from another location or vender?
3. If you ship from another vender or location, do they have them in stock?
4. Will I get a tracking number for my order shipment over the phone with you when you get my credit card number?
5. Will you send me a follow up e-mail of the purchase with the total amount of purchase itemized with shipping costs and mode/method of shipping "with" tracking number.
6. Do you offer insurance on shipping? If so what are the $$ amounts?
7. Who am I speaking with and what is your position?
8. What are your hours of operation and who will I need to speak with if I have any questions about my order in the future?
9. Do you take credit card?

10. Most important, "When is my order going to ship"? Get a date from them along with it in an e-mail.

Angry an update to my dragonfly faring problems

Heres a quick update to my problems with dragonfly farings.

the day i got my faring i noticed there was no wiring harness as well as it was missing a bolt. I spoke with someone (i will not name names) and she said that she would over night the missing items. well two days later and no harness or bolt. i called again and she said they shipped it ground and it would take a week. so no im out another week with out a working faring.

after i finally got the missing items it turns out the reason the bolt was missing was that there was something wrong with the hole the bolt went in because i coundnt screw it in. so now i have to re-thread the bolt hole to install it.

as far as the wiring harness, it did work but it took a little guess work because the instructions are not correct.

one good thing about the farring is that the radio is loud enough to cover up all the vibration sounds coming from the faring itself.

in all im am very diappointed in the faring and will never purchase or tell anyone to purchase a faring from them.
