I wanted to post to let everyone know not to purchase a faring from Dragonfly. Their costomer service is horrible! The faring came in later than what was told to me. also the faring was missing parts when it arrived at my house including a wiring harness and bolt that holds the faring together. nothing was done after i spoke with the owner. it seems that everyone i spoke with at that company has a total disregard for the customer's needs.
I sure like mine, and would buy another one if I was going to buy a detach fairing. I didn't have a bit of problems with the company, and in fact found them to be very customer oriented. I still correspond with the company owner from time to time, even though they've moved to Socal.
That sucks I love mine it took a month longer to get than told I figured they were busy and it was summer they even sent me a extra wire harness while I waited for the fairing to ship, did they tell you they would not send a wire harness and missing bolts to you after you told them they were missing?
Had the same issue received all the bolts but no harness. I did not even see where they would send a harness as a option. So I did not question it I just made my own. However you right about the customer service. As far as the fairing I could have been just as happy keeping my 1500 bucks but u live and you learn.

My friend had similar issues with their customer service. He purchased one of their fairings and found that the fiberglass was full of air pockets while it was being painted. He contacted Dragonfly for help and they said "The guy who makes them for us won't warranty the air pockets so there is nothing we can do for you." My friend was basically left repairing the fairing by himself and Dragonfly wouldn't do anything about it.
With that said, a lot of people have nice things to say about Dragonfly. I guess he was just unlucky, just like the OP.

How old is his fairing? I know their early fairings (with the round speakers) were traditional fiberglass layups, but their newer ones with the 6X9 speakers are resin transfer moldings, and much higher quality. I'm surprised to hear there was those kind of issues with one of their newer fairings.
Still and all, it's a manufacturing defect, and the company should be standing behind their product.
