Looking to upgrade my clutch with new fictions & steels now that I have the 107ci in and I think I'm probably getting a little low speed slip. I already have the SE heavy spring installed. This is a wet clutch.
Three choices using the stock hub:
SE Performance Clutch Friction Disc Kit 37980-10 (material?)
Barnett Extra Plate Carbon Fiber Clutch Kit 307-30-20013
Barnett Extra Plate Kevlar Clutch Kit 307-30-10013
I'm leaning toward the Barnett kits, but what is the difference between Carbon Fiber and Kelvar?
Anyone have experience using these kits?

"plates" generally refers to the steel plates ( "steels" ) in a clutch- make sure you use the correct term if ordering something.
"Discs" are the wear parts- I've been running barnett kevlars in my FXRp for 22 years.
before you order your parts you should check that your "steels" , the plates are in good shape, other wise you'll be stuck waiting to finish the job unti the new steels come in.- if they are heat marked or warped they need replaced. specs in the manual
pricing- I use a friendly local indy for many parts purchases, that way I have someone to ask if I need advice with the job.
When I did the trans shaft seal and all of the other seals for the primary two winters ago, I went ahead and replace the clutch discs/plates with the Energy One kit that has the extra disc. It grabs really nice but is also easy to pull. I think I paid about $150 for it from an HD dealer.
Barnett's webpage description of their Clutch Kits"
"Kevlar or Carbon Fiber Extra-Plate Kit.
Consist of 10 friction & 9 steels. Adds 11% more surface area to clutch pack. No modification needed. Direct bolt-on installation."
I hate my SE Clutches in both my bikes. The "friction zone" is very small, and the clutch is really sensitive to the type of oil used.
I would gladly try any of the others. My buddy has a Rivera Primo clutch in his bagger with a 124". I love how easy it pulls and how smoothly it engages. All with no clutch slip.
