We had apes installed at the same time with our softails last year! He had way better luck then I did! The first thing he told me was he was going to do apes on the King.....so its kind of bustin' *****!
although I am taking a little road trip to the Harley Davidson Museum in Milwaukee and proceeding north up to Little Chute, WI to have FUEL MOTO do a Woods TW555 cam install for me,

I stop right at the point where I'll need to crack open the drivetrain. That's for the pro's to do. When are you making the trip? We hit the road yesterday at 7am in So. FL and it was COLD!

Jamie has me scheduled day after Memorial Day, warmer weather (fingers X'ed)
check my sig for tank removal step-by-step instructions.
Just looked at it - great write up - question on the quick release fuel line - is there not gas flowing everywhere at that point or does the quick release just pop off and prevent the flood?
As long as you either ran it dry (by pulling the fuse) or disconnected it after the bike sat overnight, no fuel drips out. No mess to speak of, the fuel can't drain past the pump.
For those of you questioning why the tank and seat is off Keith's bike, his is a RKC that came with ABS standard, to change the brake line the tank and seat has to come off as the ABS unit is behind the right side cover.
I love this site. Learn something almost every time I am on here. Thanks for explaining!
