Default Gone and done it!

Well, word came down from the missus."I'm not comfortable for trips". So went to dealer on Sat, they had an 06 Ultra, Black Pearl,( gorgeous color btw). Came home that evening and pondered the decision, got up Sun morn at 0430, grabbed coffee, and headed out to the shop, and commenced to removing the goodies from the 06 SG, that they werent giving me any trade-in value for. Felt like I was working on a pit crew in Gasoline Alley, come 1pm I had the V&H Big Shot Duals, off and replaced with stock setup and slipons, all the chrome doo-dads, Hogtunes, light bezels, etc.etc were replaced with stock. And off we went to the dealer (they closed at 3pm on Sun) we arrived at 230, they had all the paperwork done, which was a pleasant surprise. We were done by 3pm.

Got a good deal, at least I think so, difference of 2k. Best of all, wife is tickled pink. And so am I for that matter, the SG, as great a bike as it is. Just isn't suited for distance and pure comfort. And to get it that way, add tourpack, etc, etc, etc. I wasn't gonna fork out the dough and ruin a clean looking bike, IMO.

Congrats!

Hope she not like my wife . I traded my Deuce in for my SG, (to have he be more cpomfy on the back). 1 month later she decided she wanted to get her own bike and got her license and bike within 3 months!

I am not sorry that I bought the S/G though! just wished we kept it for her! [:@]

Good luck to the both of you - enjoy your new ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No worries there Denis, she's very content on the back. And I'm glad she has no desire to get her own, altho Ive mentioned it on numerous occasions. We like the Ultra, right up until HD finally wises up and sees the market potential for a Ultra Road Glide .

Great looking ride there Trimster, so where ya going for your first weekend long run??
Hay find someone with an EZ brake and ask to sit and work the brake some. Anyone 6 ft tall loves it.
