just picked up my 2012 flhx. im gonna run a 2 into 1 thunderheader and a k & n filter kit. not sure what the best route is as far as tuners and downloads ? i was lookin at a zippers thundermax i think but i dont want to have to weld new bungs and cut holes in my new t-header. i would rather do it myself but if i have to take it to a shop so be it. any advice would be appreciated.

 

Might talk to FuelMoto. I think I recall a post about them working to develop a 2 into 1 head pipe and their head pipes may have both sets of O2 bungs.

 

you just need to order the exhaust for a 2008 , the only differance is o2 location and size from what i researched befor buying my thundermax, luckilly i had an 08 already. i think the thundermax site says that aswell

Slight correction, I think the 2008 exhausts will not fit a 2012 bike. I think he needs 2009 exhaust. And that is what the Thundermax site says. I talked to my local indy and he said the same thing.

 

Ditto on the 09 version. Had larger bungs. Switched to the smaller bungs in 2010.
