Instead of doing a 98" high comp build this winter, what the hell, might as well replace the entire friggin' drivetrain & be done with it in one shot. Here is the combo I am currently considering:
Jims 120" @ 11:1, twin plug heads, automatic comp releases
Zipper's 54mm throttle body w/ Thundermax EFI & Autotune
Baker 6
Barnett Scorpion clutch
Compufire Gen III starter
This combo should give me a rockin' yet reliable 2-up tourer. Important to keep the appearance as close to stock as possible. Any advice, suggestions or recommendations on alternate components would be welcome. Cam choice is tough & I have a few mind. Already have a buyer waiting for my stock drivetrain if I decide to pull this "heavy" pin. Phil, are ya out there, brother?
I would say that you couldnt go wrong with that combination.......that will be one super nice drivetrain....go for it....I wanna see the dyno numbers if you do them
just curious....what would something like that cost?
sounds like an awesome combo....cant imagine needing more power than my 95"[dyno'd out @ 85 hp./91 ft.lbs tq.]
but my bike is "solo-only" so its only hauling my ****...
Sounds great bountyhunter but it seems to me i remember you slammin somebody pretty good for talking abouta big inch motor on their bagger?. Have at it it, ought to be a blast to ride. Good luck, Stafford
Just finished my upgrade and now your gonna rain on my parade!!
Would love to have done what you gonna do!! I cant wait to see those numbers!!![sm=badbadbad.gif]
Yea.. I'm here. Can't wait to help build this one!
I'm thinking this might be in order too: http://www.revperf.com/artman/publish/article_44.aspx

You're TOO brutal Phil, I mighta figured you would come up with a big bore kit for that combo. Serves me right for askin', but now ya got me thinkin' some more...that would be one apeshit motor. I'm not too concerned with actual numbers, heck, that's mostly for the bench racin' crowd! What you feel in the seat of your pants is what matters...know what I mean? Man, I got friggin' stomach cramps just thinkin' 'bout it!
I recently read somewhere about someone talking about using an E-Series or Trapp muffler on a FatCat.
Well.... When I went to the dyno shop last week for my measly 98" tune, what did I find lying on a work bench, but a ..... You guessed it! An E-Series muffler with a short length of pipe already fitted & flared to fit a FatCat header! I saw that & though to myself... Well I'll be a mf'er.
Now back to the MegaHunter build... I'm thinking a Borzilla would probably be best, but not likely given the circumstances. So, how about an E-Series muffler inconspicuously hidden inside each clampless wonder pipe!
