Have you ever taken a Softail out for a day and drove it on the interstate? You need to try it then maybe you will have a better idea...I drove one for a day...did about 300 miles including about 100 miles on the Interstate..For me at above 65 the vibrations coming from the handlebars was pretty bad....Now uner 65 WOW.... it is a sweet bike...Not a "touring Family" frame.. FLH series.

Yeah you are right. I tend to remember only the good things about my Softail and not the bad. Mine was good until just over 70 MPH. Which was plenty fast for my wife and the other old farts I usually rode/ride with. Then I bought the Ultra. I have to be very careful now if I'm riding alone or I'll be doing 90 MPH + and won't even realize it! (the wife is pretty comfortable up to about 80 MPH now days, after that the rib punches start and the intercom gets loud)
thanks guys, you clarified a few things I was not sure of yet. I choose the RK over Heritage classic because of comments here when I signed up. knowing I would be 2 up a lot and the bigger bike would not bother me at all.
