OP I believe is looking for latches, not hinges. HD offers upgraded hinges to match the stock latches, but not upgraded latches. The only thing HD now offers that may help to stop breaking the latches is an EZ Tour Pak Lid Catch to automatically align the lid when it comes down. Probably a waste of money, but who knows.

Thanks for the info. I never heard of this TourPak lid catch until you mentioned it. I'm curious to know if it works.
Wanted to give people a heads up when changing the "latches"out. Helping a buddy of mine change his from chrome to black to match his toupak. Hinge side goes great..drill out rivets and new screws. Get ready install the latch side and it's not screws to attach...it's the same tiny rivets. He called a few local dealers and they wanted to charge the guy stupid money for 4 little rivets that wild literally take 2 minutes to install. Simple task would have gotten the shop some nice talk around town but not now...anyway....these rivets require a special tool to install....so they gotcha. Nice to have friends who have this same rivet tool and loaned it to us....guess who's shop is getting all the good talk when people ask where I get my work done. Sorry about the ramble...dealers **** me off sometimes. Long story short...make sure you can install these rivets on the latches when changing or replacing.

My latches are not "broken" but seem to be getting very loose. After a ride the rear one is very loose - see attached pic (from the vibration). I wonder if the replacement latch, 90649-07 will fix this or not. Hate to try and replace the top catch part too as I see it is riveted onto the lid! I have over 72,000 miles on these latches so can't complain too much! Any comments?
You may need to change your gasket so your lid doesn't move around so mutch. I purchased the gasket for < $9 from Surdyke when I replaced my hinges but have not installed it yet. Looks like removing old gasket might be a biotch. Be sure to use blue locktite on the latch screws.

I just got back from my local Harley shop and just installed my new latches. Works like a champ. They are tight and keeps the lid down now. 90649-07 was only $10 each. Not too bad and hey, they are made in China!! Oh well, they work and hopefully will be good for another 72,000 miles!!
