That's about $4,500 off MSRP,more than 20% off. I would have to see it to believe it.
Oh boy here we go again
Ok just so everyone is clear, this deal my buddy got is all of a $900 profit deal for the dealership
Yes they really can discount this much and STILL make a profit on us, but it just goes to show exactly how much of a deal can be made on these bikes if the dealer is willing to sell the inventory for a fair deal
I will dig up the link to the buyers order for my buddy's new 12 limited, brand new with 5 miles, not missing anything, not a demo, not damaged, not salvaged title (just trying to cover everyone's possible excuse for getting this price)
And if you think that's bad, my buddy ran into someone locally that bought the same bike from another local HD dealer and thought he got a deal and was bragging about exhaust, painted inner fairing and something else small and was OTD at $28k
He asked my buddy what he paid thinking that his was the cal to beat and my buddy reluctantly told him same bike, no included goodies but that same bike at $21462 OTD
I hope this info helps others make good deals on their bikes
Not all dealers will do this, he bought the bike two days before the end of year, they had 3 or 4 ltd in stock in that color, but if you can do it on one you can do it on another, so stick to your guns and fit for a great price!
2011 2 Tone Rootbeer
March 31, 2011
24,000 OTD with a 250 gift card.
Started the deal on March 27, 2011
Said they wanted to move 5 more bikes before the end of the month. The bell rang 3 times when we were there signing the paperwork before we got the chance to ring it.
I bought a new Ultra Limited on November 30th of last year. I first looked at it on black Friday (the big shopping day right after Thanksgiving day), they had it discounted $800 off of MSRP. I went back the last day of the month, they gave me good money for my trade (2007 Heritage with 32K miles) and came down another $1600. It was the last day of the month and they wanted to move another bike. Not a real slammin' deal but I was happy!
I was looking at the limited and went with the ultra. Price difference is not worth it IMO. ....Personally I think HD shot themselves in the foot this year with the limited.
...... or they're maintaining the nameplate's exclusivity for next year, when they put a 110" in the AnniversaryLTD
is it possible with that high sales tax there was some cash or trade that didnt show up. $1200 for tax is alot higher than va would have been.Seen same thing happening in west va on 4 wheelers, then they came after my brother for more sales tax once they were caught(not accusing just curious)sales tax on mine@$24,000 was only like 700
also when i worked at car dealership if an employee wanted a vehicle that came for trade you could work out a deal that didnt run the trade through the system but the owner payed less for vehicle and employee payed dealer with the dealer showing a loss, smart buisness i guess
Bought my 012 Ultra limited New Years Eve dealt between to dealers. Bottom line 500 off msrp traded in 06 Heritage which they gave me 12,300 for. Which it save 830 on tax. As always now would be a time to buy, March makes dealing harder it starts in to spring good luck
