Well now this thread is making me feel like I got stiffed. Bought mine last week , sticker was 25 and some change , got one grand off that , 800 worth of goodies, t-shirts , that lantern , and a full tank of gas . I also got the piece of mind that I bought it from a salesman I have known for three years that has helped me with all of my motorcyleing questions no matter how stupid they were. Did I also mention that I bought it from my American owned , American employed Dealership . GOD BLESS THE USA! FT
I purchased a Midnight Pearl and Brilliant Silver Pearl TK in the fall. When I picked it up they had it in the shop on the hoist and asked me to look it over for any defects. The paint on the saddlebags and trunk had a lot of orange peel as do some of the other colors. I am still discussing with HD but as of now they have denied the warranty claim. The fairing is perfect color and smooth as glass. This may be a small thing and at 60mph who would see it. But I know and it bugs me big time.
I have been told, a wet sand and new clear coat will make it better, but when you spend that amount of cash on a new bike you expect more... at least I do.
Sales tax is 7 or 7.5% or something like that up there it's 6.5 for all of FL because we don't have any state income tax down here
Look folks if you do the research and become an educated consumer this type of deal would not be met with disbelief rather would be a useful tool for others to use in their negotiations
The deal was real my buddy is now the proud owner of a 2012 merlot two tone limited
Just like the other thread earlier in the week there are doubters on the forum because they feel there is NO WAY that Harley has that much markup in their bikes, trust me they do and they didn't lose any money on us it was a lean deal at only $900 profit in the price I know because I asked my local dealer if this was a real price or not and he told me it was and just how much they were making at that $19200 sale price
Take it for what you want, that was the deal he got and if your dealer wants to move a bike then you may be able to get one like this also
i think if you get out the door on a two tone tax title etc for 25k. u should be pleased i was. if your only consideration is price i suggest you offer the guy whose says 19200 on two tone 500 extra to pick u up one pay the tax in your your home state and be done with it . i have zero confidence this would ever happen but if i was in the market looking at used bikes with miles on them over 20 grand i wonder how new ones go for 19
just saying
mazz
Don't be pissed...I am still not totally sold on what he paid for it. Anyone can get a purchase order written up and a picture on the internet to stir up contoversy on how much dealers screw customers. I am sure he is a relative or close personal friends with the owner if he paid for that. A dealership cannot survive on selling bikes and only make a 900 profit. If not seminole would sell everone a bike at that price and be outta business within a year.
If you get a great deal; great, I am glad for you. Also people have to remember everyone pays more or less depending on where you live. Plus, are you a repeat customer? You normally get better deals as a repeat customer.
