Tank Insert Removal, NEED HELP
Hi
The plastic piece is glued on. In a warm environment pry it off working your way around the edges. Careful not to scratch the chrome. It will come off quite easily. You might be disappointed about putting a leather bag, as the backing is not solid and part of the tanks electrical wire is exposed. You can also remove the entire console and try to remove the insert that way. I took mine off and made a new insert, was easy to get off and used some gorilla glue to glue the new insert back on. Good luck and be patient.
