Hdman 6 dennis kirk sells your tire for 127.99 free same day shipping take your bike to a indy close to your home he should put it on for about 40 bucks you could probably get the whole job done for under 2 hundred just a thought good luck.
I am not sure if I want to play the price game between the 2 because i am in the HOG dealer quite often and they will probably get po'ed about it.
That tire can be purchased online for $153.01 to $169.95. That means that the low priced dealer is charging you at least $131.05 to change a tire, & probably more. I would think that kind of profit would be more than enough to insure good customer treatment. What is the high priced dealer doing for that extra $100, & what is he going to do if he "gets po'ed"?
I was installing a new exhaust and needed the flanges and spring clips. I called one dealer who quoted $12 each for the flanges & $2 each for clips, but was short 1 clip. Called another dealer that had both flanges and clips, $42 out the door, almost twice as much. I don't know if it was a misquote or if there is just that much disparity in prices. I do know I will call around from now on before going for parts.

Some dealers charge MSRP and other are more greedy.
For example......my local dealer charges $7.95 for std. 6R12 spark plug!
So I plan on going to the dealer that quoted 301. I have known them for a very long time and have purchased a few sleds from them also. I also bought my wide glide from them. They used to be very expensive, so I never even gave them a thought until now. they told me 1 hr labor, at 89.00 and the tire at 180.00 then tax. I was thinking of ordering it separately but by the time i pay the shipping on it it still is close to the 150- 160 range. I guess the sponsoring dealer lost this sale. The 300.00 quote is at the non-HOG sponsoring dealer. thanks Jeff
Had to have the front tire replaced on my bike. The dealers charge was about $290 but I had the tire warranty.
I can see the rear costing a little more becuase of the labor but $400?
Also depends on their labor rate which varies.
In my area it runs about 300. Cali and NY I can see it being more.
Some have suggested going the internet route for tires. This is a good idea but just be aware some companies sell blems and old tires so check the date on your tire if you ordered one onlne.
