The new stock HD 25mm bearings are junk. Better to buy some "All *****" bearings which are also sold under the Drag Specialties name. Swap them out now or the next tire change.
I had the front ones go bad this last Oct. Bike was about 17 mos old, about 16-17,000 miles. Seemed strange to me that they would go bad so quickly. I had just had the front tire replaced also. I was not a happy camper as I was 300 miles from home when I realized what was going on.
Advice:
If you think your bike feels like the front tire is low but isn't check the front wheel bearings.
my 2 cents
I would be wondering if they F'd em up while putting my tire on with that low miles on them?

I think the MOCO made a poor decision on the bearing size and construction and there is nothing more to it than that. The bearing was probably two cents cheaper and the machine on the assembly line probably presses these bearings in two seconds faster than a better bearing. Isn't that how things work?

Frt wheel bearing went out on my bike 11k miles, I had grease marks around the bearing before it failed, now I always look for any sign of trouble. Bike had the factory tires at the time and was never powerwashed.

09 Ultra with 23K. I had noticed an unusual sound 3 weeks ago and had the dealer take a look. They said it was probably brake dust. All within SPEC. Here's a "snip" of my service write-up.
Got back from a ride yesterday and here's what I found. I'd say that these "sealed" bearings ain't "sealed" any more!
