If you just want to hear some chatter on a CB, just drop down to channel 6. The Doodes with the big radios hang out there!
They are all waiting on that skip wave to cross overhead so they can talk to each other from coast to coast on their mobile. I have talked from here to NY,Cali,Alaska and Hawaii.
One evening, in an Ozark valley, I was on SSB two and a half channels up from Ch40, and was talking to a guy living in the UK. I was in my topless Toyota Landcruiser sporting a Nugatron Coil trucker style antenna. On a watt and a half radio. (snicker)
