You may have. Here I am with one "ice road" trucker somewhere on the Alaska Highway in June 2010:

 

Use 19 if you want to talk to truckers. Other than agreed upon channels during group rides, that's probably going to be your best choice.

 

In texas, south of dallas on I-45 and I-35, I use 15 and 19. Truckers always know where smokie is!!!

 

We run on channel 3 with our Southern Cruiser Chapter as well. We use it for signaling lead bike and tail gunner as well as just bs chatter during tne ride.

 

If you just want to hear some chatter on a CB, just drop down to channel 6. The Doodes with the big radios hang out there!
They are all waiting on that skip wave to cross overhead so they can talk to each other from coast to coast on their mobile. I have talked from here to NY,Cali,Alaska and Hawaii.
One evening, in an Ozark valley, I was on SSB two and a half channels up from Ch40, and was talking to a guy living in the UK. I was in my topless Toyota Landcruiser sporting a Nugatron Coil trucker style antenna. On a watt and a half radio. (snicker)
