Default Road King Sound System?

Can anyone give me some input on a sound system for a Road King. Maybe some insight from some people that are running a system on their Road King, what do you have and maybe some pictures??? I appreciate it!

Just installed the sound of chrome from kuryakyn. Sounds as good as stock 2 speaker fairing system parked. Haven't had it on the road yet cuz it's winter here but with the full windshield it'll be plenty loud at highway speeds. I have the small tinted hd windshield and wonder if I'll hear it at speed with all the wind. It'll be a month probably before I can test it. Install was simple. I chose to lift the tank and run the wires with the main harness to keep wires off the heads so it took an hour but was simple. The biggest thing I wish somebody would've said in the reviews I read is that although these are loud they won't have the depth of a large speaker. They are only 3" speakers so don't expect a lot of bass. After playing with the eq on the iPod i think the rock setting is best. If you want/ need pics of anything let me know and I will run out to where I have it in storage and snap a few

I appreciate the info. I was looking at the "H-D Boom" system that has the two speakers that mount on the bars. I can get it for $319.00. I would love to hear some reviews on it.

When you get a chance, pictures would be cool!!

I went with the kuryakyns cuz the amp was in the speaker pods on the boom setup you have to mount it separately. I paid around 300 from phat performance ( site sponsor). The windshield mount boom setup looks like **** IMHO. I'll try to get some pics this weekend

I installed the boom system that goes on your road king on a fat boy this summer. I was very impressed with the bass and volume that came out of those speakers. just FYI if you install your self make sure the amp goes down on the lower part of the down tubes of the frame. if you mount it close to the neck on the road king it will dent the fender. instructions tell you how to do it both ways since its a multifilament part. but be sure to fallow the road king advice on this one.

I had it on my RK.
I just took it off because I got a Deadcenter fairing with a stereo.
For its size it had really good sound as long as it is behind a windshield or fairing. Anything over 30 MPH without a shield and you won't hear it.
With the shield it was pretty good up to 50-60MPH, but its best around town.
The handlebar controls are nice to have.

I have the Boom handlebar speakers and love them. Without a windshield 70mph is about when you the sound gets lost. On my trip with the windshield on I never had a problem hearing it at any speed. With my windshield on my sister could hear my music just fine, without the windshield she couldn't quite make it out enough,
At stop signs/lights I actually will turn it down cause it's blasting so loud.
I had a $100 gift card and 20% off so I didn't pay the $400 and going back, I would've been happy to spend that much on them.
