I put one in my 09 and am very pleased with the results, when running I am at almost 60 psi. at idle I am at 30psi. Do I think it helps I think so JMHO, and .02 cents worth.

I installed the Pure Power metal screen re-usable oil filter and my oil pressure seems to have increased by few psi, especially at idle. I'm happy with it. The filter seems to be making it easier for the pump to do its job.

This is not meant to be a filter debate. Just my observation.

Not wanting to start another topic, but the oil pressure sending unit is between the pump discharge and the oil filter. If your pressure went up after a filter change it means the filter is MORE restrictive to flow. Less flow now to go through the system. I would say - Not Good.

I have not researched the topic enough to have a strong opinion. All I know is that with the PP oil filter the oil pressure, showing at the gauge, drops less at hot idle, which is supposed to be good. If it's not good, then the oil pressure gauge is a useless feature.

Here is the Pure Power oil filter web site www.gopurepower.com

Just curious, I know one of the lifetime filters touted the lack of bypass or higher bypass pressure to ensure all oil is filtered instead of some of it going through the bypas, if all oil goes through the filter, that might explain a little higher pressure. I dunno, I haven't gotten deep into the filters just yet.
