Heated Grip Slides Off

Cannot Get the grip back together
Since the outer part was mostly off anyway and the connector for the wires had pulled out of the bar I removed the outer completely with the intention of gluing them . Unfortunately all the wires that were taped to the inside of the outer part released. I cannot slide the parts together and get the wires to wrap around, and the wires are permanently attached at the end of the outer part so I cannot get them and wind them around the inner. What a mess!!!

When I installed heat demons on my SG, the TBY grip ws fine. However, the left side adhesive melted and the left grip would slide off. Tey did supply epoxy, but I was reluctant to use it at first. WHen I got back I used the epoxy and the grip is secured.

Heated grips failure picture
Here is a picture of what happens when the inner and outer parts come apart. I can see no way to wrap the wires back inside the outer and get the inner back in as the fit is tight. I have tried many times.
BTW this was one of the newer "improved"versions purchased in 2009.
