I have searched and can't find the answer. I have a 2006 Ultra . I washed it today by hand the same as always since new. During washing the radio face lit up and stayed on. After washing I started it up and the speedo and the tach were not working and now the radio wont power up either. The turn signals work but will not clear themselves. In the odometer spot was
bu5 er . I did the diagnostic on the speedo and everything was no fault except sp and the numbers that followed was 61008 and then U1301 (serial data open/ high efi ) What could have gotten wet to cause this?
How and where does the speedo and tach signal get processed ?
I rode the bike all day today and everything still the same.
Any suggestions ?

any help would be greatly appreciated.
Speedo, tach, cruise control and turn signal cancellatiion are all tied together with the speedometer pickup sensor. It is magnetized so it will occasionally pick up trash and quit or it could have gone bad. It is the sensor on top of the tranny. Remove, clean and replace.
