If you look at the wiring diagram they're common with the cig. lighter. On & off with the ignition switch. I power both my Zumo & my garage door opener with them.

Thaks everybody! I think you can find answers on HDfroums quicker than the manual. I looked in the manual for over an hour before I posted and couldn't figure it out. I guess it will power the handlebar mounted coffee maker after all.

People use them for lots of things but I think the actual intent is for lights and sirens - easier to use one wire harness on the assembly line for both Police and non-Police bikes. It was on the Internet so that kind'a guarantees its true :-)

I have a 2008 FLHRC and want to wire a cig lighter adapter behind the headlight so I can plug in my gps when needed and not have anything showing when not needed. I see the wires up there but I'm not sure how to do the wiring. I would rather a plug and play but I don't think that's an option. Does anyone have any instructions to help me out. Is there a certain plug end that I can wire into an adapter to plug into those wires. Thanks in advance.
