And so it begins .. I purchased the bike about three weeks ago and thats when I found this site, and a few others. I love all the information I have been able to locate here in that short amount of time. The only problem is that between all the ideas on this site and the cold weather outside, I now have my new toy disassembled in the garage.
I started to remove the inner fairing with the intention of having it painted to match the bike. Then I came across a process known as Hydrographic transfer imaging, so thats the new plan. I dropped the fairing off at Nostalgia Works in Sharpsburg, MD today to have them dip my fairing in a carbon fiber pattern.
Ive taken pictures of the disassembly and will do my best to keep this post updated throughout the process. I apologize for the size of the pictures but I havent figured out how to make them any smaller. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask.
there was a guy at the local dealer that was showing that , he is a salesman for a company that does it.
They had a sample of skulls on a piece of plastic you would use to show paint , it looked good.
I have no idea of cost , but I would bet it is cheaper than an artist airbrushing it on.
