Default So I hate my intercom!

Well, not really but one of the mods I had installed this winter is the
Boom!™ Audio Music and Intercom Kit. I haven't tried it out yet but I really hate the looks of the way the rear passenger interface mounts. Is anyone aware or any alternative mounting methods for the rear? See photo below.

When I did mine I ran it that way per instructions. I then unbolted it and layed it down in the left saddlebag and shut the lid on the wires. Looks good now.

Probably not a bad idea. Any issues pinching wires or getting a good seal on the lid?

that's not the most attractive plug, I'd try mounting in alongside the shock, on the inside of the saddlebag.

I guess the switch needs to be operable by the passenger, I'm sure you can find a way.

I have the 77108-09 BAMI kit (CB/intercom) installed on my bike. Because the passenger headset connector and PTT/vol. switch are behind me, it doesn't bother me since I don't see it while riding and I don't spend much time looking at my bike while it's parked.

I did relocate the rider headset connector to the left-side mid-frame heat deflector so I didn't have the connector on the gas tank as provided in the instructions.

Where have you guys mounted the rider headset connector?

If you guys are willing to re-install the passenger headset connector and PTT/vol. switch when you use them, and remove them when not needed, good for you. If you're concerned about the seal at the saddlebag, just make-up one or more quick disconnects using Deutsch connectors so that the wiring isn't pinched by the saddlebag.

I like to keep it simple. My wife leans forward a few inches and speaks into my ear. The only that gets pinched is something between my legs!!

So, I've decided that I hate it enough that I want to get rid of it. At some point over the next few weeks (or months?) I'll be taking the whole thing off the bike and putting it on eBay. What would be a reasonable asking price? I have no box or instructions etc. but it's all there including one head set. I kinda hate myself for putting it on in the first place. I mean really! How silly is it to need an intercom to talk to the person sitting 6 inches from you? Anyway, this isn't an ad or an attempt to gain interest in a sale as as I have no idea when I'll get to pulling it off, but will eventually unload it and am wondering what would be a reasonable price to sell it for? I could see the benefit in a bike to bike intercom are any of my parts usable in that application? Or perhaps couple with a bluetooth receiver for a cell phone?
