I'm not too happy with them. I ordered some stuff on Monday over the phone, they were supposed to call me back in 10 minutes and give me the total price. The next day I called them and spoke to Frank (again) he said he would call right back, he never did. Today is the 3rd day and I still do not know how much the order will cost. If they don't call by tomorrow morning I'm going to cancel the order. I don't care if they are cheaper, you would never know it if they can't even give you a price. I would rather pay full price and get what I ordered. Three days with my credit card info and not even a price qoute, *uc* em.
Well it could be that they are so busy since they are apparently a good place to buy but you would be testing my nerves if nobody gets back to you over a 3 day period. That would just make me wonder how fast they can get an order out which might be the ultimate worry for most people. Who wants to wait a long time to get a product and then worry that you will have to fight them at a later date to get your money back. My thought is don't charge the item till it ships and then nobody is too upset or at least too worried. I just asked for a email quote on some wheel/tire package so we will see.
I think i know which order you are talking about, both Frank and I just tried your number and no answer. I apologize if you are missing our calls, but we do not have an email or any other phone number on file for you.
If this is not the order for the Hawg wired stuff, then please disregard, and if you could send me your info so I can look into it.
Thank you

Yes, that was me. My phone makes a record of all calls, made, received or missed. The only record of calls from you are from today, FOUR days after I placed my order. Four days I waited, calling you every day, just to find out what the order was going to cost. All I heard from you was it will cost ABOUT this much, Frank was going to call Hawg Wired and check on the cost and find out if I get some kind of discount for being a member on this forum. I missed the two calls you made today (about 30 minutes apart) because I was on the phone talking to other dealers and placing the order with someone else, after I hung up from that I called you and cancelled my order. Then Frank tells me the order shipped out Tuesday. Why didn't you tell me that Tuesday evening when I called? Why didn't you tell me that Wednesday evening when I called? Why didn't you ever tell me the total cost of the order? Every time I called you guys you said you had to call Hawg Wired and find out and you would call me back, but you never did. When I place an order I want to know how much it is going to cost me, I don't just give someone my credit card info and say whatever, I don't care what it costs and just ship it when you get around to it, if you ever do. At the very least you should have told me how much it was going to cost, not an ABOUT, I don't want a guess, I want to know the exact amount. That is what really pisses me off. If it took a while to get it shipped out, I can understand that. But you guys never even gave me a total. How could you guys have shipped out the order on Tuesday, if on Wednesday you still did not know what the cost was going to be? How does that work?
OK, Understood, I apologize for the miscommunication. I thought that when I told you the total, we agreed I was going to check and see if there was any extra room for a hdforum discount on these parts. However I could not do it. I am not sure where the the wires were crossed, but I apologize for the confusion. I will mark down in your account that we need to make this up to you. I will personally make sure you are taken care of on price, to the best of my abilities.

Hope I am allowed to post here, even though I am a "Softy" guy... This is my second dealing with these guys, and both times they have been great! Here is the message trail I had with them today (hope you don't mind Dan):
I am looking to get the matching, left side, dummy cap to match the RSD Contrast Cut, Gear Drive Gas Caps. I found the right side gas cap: http://www.directharleyparts.com/tan...ve-p-3578.html but I was not able to find the matching, left side dummy cap. Can I get one of these from you guys? If so, I am ready to go ahead an make an order on both along with a few other things.
-Dave
It took them, litterally, 3 hours to get back to me and put the part I was looking for on the site. Awesome customer service! SO I went ahead and picked up the gas caps and stuff for tmy 5k service at the same time. And with my first order about a year ago (exhaust) it only took 4 days for them to get to me from CA, and I was in VA at the time. If I have some more items to get, I will definitely be going with them again. Wish I would have known about the HDForum discount though Oh well, they still have the best price I could find and free shipping, so I can't complain.
and now they just ended the chat session! So here I sit with no tracking number, no parts, and a torn down bike but they've billed my card already. Not a good experience especially for a first time customer.
I can not send you a PM. But, there were no people waiting for tracking numbers on the chat for that long. I just looked at the chat history, there were conversations about orders, but no one was waiting. Everyone was told they would get an email with tracking info, and/or the conversation was ended. If you waited on the chat for your email, then I apologize, but there were no unanswered or waiting chats from Friday. When we tell you we will send an email, it means we are going to send it to your email address, not on the chat. I am sorry if they were not clear with that. I was not on the chat much yesterday, so I cant say for sure. From what I can see, all looks like it was ended with an answer.
If you can email me your name, or you can post it on here if you want, I can look it up for you and send it over.
Everyone that was on chat yesterday go an email with in 15-35 minutes yesterday.
Please let me know your info so I can resend it.
Thank you
